UMANG is a mobile application which is developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and National e-Governance Division (NeGD).
Main Benefit of This UMANG app is a one-stop solution which gives Indian citizen access in availing various government services, and supports Aadhaar-based and other authentication mechanisms.
It provides a unified approach where citizens can install one application to avail somewhat 162 government services of 33 department and 4 states.
UMANG app for govt services
The UMANG app integrates with the core government services of Aadhaar, DigiLocker, Rapid Assessment System, and Bharat Bill Payment System. A user signing up on the app has to digitally complete KYC and link Aadhaar where required. The app is currently available in 13 languages including – English, Hindi, Assamese, Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada, Odia, Punjabi, Malyalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telegu, and Urdu.
