IB MTS Eligibility Criteria 2025
Before applying, candidates must ensure they meet the minimum eligibility requirements:
1. Educational Qualification (As on December 14, 2025)
Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) or equivalent from a recognized Board.
They must possess a valid Domicile Certificate of the State/Union Territory against which they are applying, as on the closing date of application.
2. Age Limit (As on December 14, 2025)
Minimum Age: 18 Years
Maximum Age: 25 Years
Age Relaxation
Age relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for reserved categories as per Government rules:
SC/ST: 5 years
OBC: 3 years
Central Govt. Employees: Up to 40 years of age
Widows/Divorced Women/Judicially Separated Women (Not Remarried): UR up to 35 years, OBC up to 38 years, SC/ST up to 40 years.
Ex-Servicemen & PwBD: As per Government rules.
Salary and Pay Scale
Selected candidates for the IB MTS (General) post will be placed in the Level-1 of the Pay Matrix.
Pay Scale: ₹18,000 – ₹56,900
Allowances: In addition to the basic pay, candidates are entitled to Central Government allowances like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance (TA), and most importantly, a Special Security Allowance (SSA) @ 20% of the basic pay.
Estimated In-Hand Salary: The approximate initial in-hand salary can be around ₹38,000 per month, depending on the posting city and applicable allowances.
Selection Process
The IB MTS Recruitment 2025 selection process involves two tiers of examination, followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination.
Tier-I: Computer Based Test (CBT)

Qualifying Marks (for Tier-II): 20 out of 50
Candidates will be shortlisted for Tier-II based on their performance in Tier-I. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the Tier-I examination, provided the candidate qualifies Tier-II.
